From time to time, you will be asked to submit personal information about yourself (e.g. name and email address etc) in order to receive or use services on our website. These services include newsletters, competitions, message boards and personalised services. We will also need personal information in order to supply other products and services or to help us identify you when you contact us. For the purposes of the Data Protection Act 1998, the data controller in relation to the information you supply is The British School of Motoring Ltd (BSM), (Company No: 291902), BSM Contact Centre, 2610 The Quadrant, Aztec West Business Park, Bristol, BS34 2TR.
BSM will use the information you have provided for administration, marketing, customer services and profiling your purchasing preferences. We will disclose your information to our service providers and agents for these purposes. We may keep your information for a reasonable period to contact you about our services.

In addition to the examples given we will also collect other sensitive data when providing you with driving lessons (this term refers to lesson on-road with a BSM franchised instructor and off-road in a BSM simulator) This is information relating to your health generally and also to any relevant convictions. We only use this information to provide you with relevant products and services. We will not be able to provide you with quotes, without this sensitive data.
