Practical test
Getting your result
Straight after your driving test, the examiner will tell you whether you've passed or failed.
Bad news?
If you fail, your examiner will spend a few moments with you and your instructor to explain the reasons why. They'll also give you a printed version of the driving test report, which will help you to identify what went wrong so that you can address it in preparation for your retest.
You can reapply for a driving test straight away, but you'll have to wait at least 10 working days before you retake. You'll need to take into account any waiting times for a driving test appointment.
Your instructor will drive you home from the test centre, so you'll be able to talk to them about working on the faults you made during the test and the ways you can improve your chances for the retest.
