Lessons
How do you want to learn?
When you learn with BSM, you'll get your own personal lesson plan. It takes into account any driving experience you may already have, as well as your own style of learning and level of confidence. Your instructor will put together an individually structured course to make sure that you will be given the best possible chance of passing your test and that you will be equipped to drive confidently and safely afterwards.
The first thing we do is talk to you about your level of driving experience, so we can assess the number of lessons you're likely to need. We then talk you through the various options open to you in terms of your own lesson plan. The Driving Standards Agency recommend that learners should have about 40 hours of lessons and another 25 hours of practice to be ready for the test. With more and more traffic on the roads, you may need more lessons now than were necessary in the past.
We recommend taking at least one 2-hour lesson a week, but it's entirely up to you. A 2-hour lesson can offer the best value for money, as there's plenty of tuition time after you've settled into the car. You can take lessons as frequently as you like, or take your time and spread them over a longer period. The choice is yours.
