Learner case study: Shana Meeus
When Shana Meeus, 17, decided it was time to get behind the wheel, she’d already set her sights on BSM. She knew she’d made the right decision from the start. “My instructor Duncan was really friendly and understanding,” says Shana. “He talked to me and kept my ‘track record’ book up-to-date, so I always knew how I was getting on – and what I needed to do to be ready for the test.”
Shana passed her practical test on her first go, on 23 June 2009 after just 30 hours of tuition. The national average is 47 hours, so she was really pleased to be behind the wheel of her Peugeot 107 even faster than she’d hoped. She’s also recommended BSM to her friends: “Duncan was such a great instructor, I’ve told all my friends who haven’t passed yet to learn to drive with him”.
BSM made things easy by picking Shana up from college or home, depending on her timetable. And as the only driving school with 96 regional Centres, BSM gave Shana the reassurance of a national brand, but with local knowledge and support. As she explains: “Whenever I needed to book or change lessons, I just called up my Centre and they sorted it all out, with no hassle.”
